Baseball Hall of Famers Paul Chartrand and Claude Lambert are back on the mound in their hometown for this summer's Canada 150 Day in St. Laurent.

Reeve Cheryl Smith"We are going ahead with the Heritage Classic Baseball tourney," says reeve Cheryl Smith. "It's like a three-inning event where we have the oldtimers baseball players coming back home to play a few innings for us. We're going to be getting the jersey with the Canada 150 logo."

Smith says both men are pitchers and inductees in the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame. Chartrand's also in the Saskatchewan Hall of Fame. With these two, Smith says they now have 34 players who've played on their teams throughout the years who'll be taking part. She adds this promises to be the highlight of their Canada 150 Day celebrations. She adds some of the players' grandchildren will help them with running the bases.
