They're something Portage la Prairie's renowned for, and are now available.

It's strawberry season, and Mayfair Farms is distributing this year's crop.

Mayfair's Melanie Moran tells us the long weekend was busy.

"So we had lots of families out, and it was a lot of fun," she says, "The berries are starting to ripen up nicely, and with the warm weather forecast for this week, we hope to have another strong week."

Moran says the crop's looking really good.

"They are ripening up at a nice pace," she says, "And there are some that are ready to pick now, with lots more promise, with some green
