It's going to be a busy summer construction-wise across the province.

That's according to Portage MLA Ian Wishart who says, as we enter construction season, a lot of people will be noticing the impact. He notes while it can be frustrating to frequently travel and face delays on a route affected by construction, we all benefit when the work is completed. As such, he asks that we all remember to exercise patience and caution when faced with construction zones this summer.

Wishart notes many have us have already dealt with delays due to work being done along the Trans-Canada Highway between Portage and Winnipeg, and notes this summer we could also see construction get underway on the overpass west of the city as the final proposal for the project is being circulated. The roundabout at the intersection of highways 1 and 16, meanwhile, is still in the planning stages.
