The RCMP says around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning an 86-year-old male driver was backing up and attempting to avoid a closely parked vehicle beside him. Instead of stepping on the brake, the driver hit the accelerator while reversing. He also inadvertently put the vehicle in drive, sending the car forward and into the commercial building.

The driver, an 80-year-old female passenger and no one was inside the business were injured. No charges will be laid.
