Last night saw the tenth annual Voices of the Prairies concert at the Canad Inns in Portage La Prairie. The sold out show featured the Sharpe Sisters who released their brand new CD.

Organizer Johnny Dietrich explains last night's event was a great success.

"It's been just great. All the fans, all the people have been just great. [There's] a full house in there, it's great. [It's] so much fun to play like this with a full house."

He notes the past decade of Voices of the Prairies has gone by really quickly.

"The years have gone so fast. It's just unbelievable. Already, you turned around, it's ten years. We've had so much fun with it and there've been so many different entertainers that have been on. We've gotten to meet a lot of people and get a lot of people exposure, just like this here [tonight]. This is what it's all about."

Dietrich adds a fair amount of money has been raised for the Herman Prior and the final amount will be tallied within the next month.
