At yesterday's annual general meeting at Southport, out-going board chair Paulette Connery said her farewell to the position.

Connery has been on the board for the past nine years, serving as board chair for the last two. She talks about leaving the role.

Connery is given her new set of Southport golf clubs by board chair Doug McLennan."It's really mixed emotions," says Connery. "It's an absolute tremendous board to be on. I've learned so much being on the board... about flight training, about airport technologies...it's just a great board to be on."

Her departure included a lot of warm wishes. She also received a certificate recognizing her years of service, as well as a new Southport jacket, and new set of Southport golf clubs.

Connery says she now has some free time for more golf, spending time with her grandchildren, continuing working with the Rotary Youth Exchange, and some more me-time.

She wishes Southport continued success, especially since they're a non-profit organization that gives back to the community.

Connery receives her Southport jacket from CEO Peggy May while chair Vic Gerden looks on.
