Portage la Prairie firefighters were called out around 2:20 yesterday afternoon, to deal with a house fire on Road 77, about 4 miles east of Westbourne.
When they arrived, they found a house fully engulfed, and in the end, it was destroyed.
An attached garage/shop was saved.
No one was injured, and the cause is being investigated, but officials say there's nothing suspicious.
No damage estimate's available.
Three Portage fire trucks were joined by vehicles from Airport and Northern Breeze Colonies.
