Glenda June Collins (Allanson, Williams)

Although missed greatly by her passing on November 16, 2023, Glenda lived a life to be honored and celebrated. A life that included sisters; Jacki White (Ray), Shelly Prawdzik (Sheldon – deceased), Tammy Hordeski (Reg) all from Alberta, brothers; Richard (Lynda) from BC, Perry (Diane) and Brian (Linda) both from Portage la Prairie. Glenda was predeceased by her brother Randy and parents.

Glenda was the mother of Ryan Williams (Lisa) and Jenny (nee Williams) Neufeld (Drew), and grandmother to; Darius, Devin, Davyin, and Drake (Williams) and Elsie and Evelyn Neufeld.

Glenda lived her life as sister, mother and particularly as grandmother, but as many knew, she held her life open to friends, business, and community. Always to their betterment for knowing her.

Glenda retired from a business she managed and owned for 24 years, with her husband Al Collins to enjoy their marriage and her grandchildren. Although our marriage was shortened by her loss, it was filled from the beginning with the love and certainly each held for the other. A love and certainly that held far more than just the calendar years of anniversaries counted.

A Celebration and Remembrance will be held at Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie on Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 p.m.

Please join Glenda’s family and friends to share and celebrate her life, with her favourite playlist and our best memories. Stay for a visit over coffee and dessert.

Interment will occur for family later this summer at St. Margaret's Cemetery, on the corner of Highway 26 and the High Bluff Road. Your notice and a wave in passing will always be acknowledged by her in your memory, just as she would acknowledge your greeting in her life. She will rest for this short time, until joined by her love and husband, Al, at which point we will carry on together.
