Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on Thursday, which has triggered a search for a suspect.

On March 21, 2024, at approximately 10:15 pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of a business on the corner of Main Street and Manitoba Avenue.

When officers arrived, no victims were located. However, patrols were conducted, and two victims were discovered, getting medical attention for stab wounds.

According to police, the investigation determined that a male suspect had approached the two adult men and robbed them after stabbing them in the upper body. The male suspect was unknown to the victims, who were treated and released from hospital.

Officers knew they were looking for a male wearing a red hoodie, last seen on Clandeboye Avenue in Selkirk. Extensive vehicle patrols were conducted, and Manitoba RCMP Police Dog Services attended, but the suspect was not located.
