PAWS Needs Wet Cat Food

The Portage Animal Welfare Society is looking for the community's support with donations of wet cat food.

Animal Intake Director Karla Kirkwood says they have 23 cats in their care and one half of the flat tins of wet cat food equals one serving.  She says that can add up to 13 cans of cat food per day with all of them living in the foster care network.  She adds it's better for a cat's health and they try to feed wet food to them at least once a day.

Kirkwood says you could drop off your cat food donations at any one of their adopt-a-thons at the Herman Prior Centre in Portage la Prairie.  She adds you can also give them a call any time at 857-PAWS(7297) to make arrangements for a pick up.
