Portage Plains United Way hosted their annual golf tournament yesterday. Executive Director Pamela Lotun says that despite a smaller turnout than expected, it was a great day of golf.

"It's been great," says Lotun. "It's been really hot, but it looks like everyone's having a really good time, and that's what it's all about, is just having fun."

Lotun also talked about some of the activities they have on the holes.

"We have a Longest Drive With A Marshamallow," says Lotun. "So you can pick any club you want and smack these giant marshmallows and see how far you can get it, and there is a prize. So on every hole there is a different activity, I know on Hole 10, we've got Simplot handing out free french fries, another hole we've got free water, another hole is golf pong."

She notes while the heat may have scared some people away, all those in attendance seemed to have a great afternoon.
