Baseball players are able to get back on the diamond.

Baseball Manitoba released the return to play guidelines after the province loosened COVID-19 restrictions last week. Practices began on June 26 and athletes will get back to competition on July 5.

Currently, Sport Manitoba allows for groups of 25 athletes plus registered team staff and officials to attend training sessions/practices. Games will be able to take place under those same guidelines on July 5, however, 25 spectators will also be allowed to attend. Fans will be required to maintain a distance of two metres from one another.

Baseball Manitoba says the delay on games is just to give associations time to prepare for the newest Health Orders and prepare a return to play plan.
