The RM of Portage la Prairie has put out an announcement via Facebook that there will be a disruption in water services in effect as of Thursday, January 4th.

It will be an inconvenient couple of days for residents of the Peony Farm, High Bluff, Poplar Point, and the rest of the region as a water main repair may cause the water access north of Portage to be shut off for up to 48 hours. This means no RM water will be available at all in homes and businesses for up to two days.

After the water is turned back on, there will be a precautionary boil water advisory until water samples have passed.

Below are some fact sheets about boil water advisories, sent out by the RM's Facebook page.
