Portage's own Danika Botterill is the only player on the Manitoba U18 AAA Female Hockey League's first-team all-stars that will be returning next season.

Botterill was one of three forwards to receive the honour, along with Norah Collins of the Winnipeg Avros and Maia Ehmann of the Winnipeg Ice, who were the league's top two scorers.

The local finished seventh in the league when it came to total points, with 31, and despite missing five games with an injury, she still placed second in total goals scored with 23.

Through three playoff games against the eventual champion Westman Wildcats, Botterill scored all four of the Capitals' goals in the series. The 17-year-old helped the Capitals accumulate a record of 9-14-5 this season and will be back with the club for her senior campaign next year.
