Canada Post has had it's share of troubles this spring. with the flood and possible strike looming, mail delivery services may experience further disruption.

John Caines, National Spokesman for Canada Post, says high water did have an affect on delivery, and residents were able to pick up their redirected mail through designated drop off and pick up points.

He notes they will continue to provide this service unless they proceed with a strike, in which case no one will be receiving mail anywhere.

Caines adds Social Economic cheques, including Pension Plan, Old Age Security, Child Benefits, and Veteran Affairs cheques will still be delivered in the event a strike occurs.

He says they made an arrangement with the Canadian Union of Public Workers, and the cheques will be delivered on the 20th of every month.
