Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Plains recently celebrated 50 years of changing lives in the community. Executive Director Dawn Froese, who's been with the organization for 29 years, shared her overwhelming gratitude for the support they've received over the decades.

"Thank you to the people who thought that it would be good to bring Big Brothers Big Sisters to our community. so many people over the years who have worked on the board, have volunteered, or just helped out at events. Thank you. As well as sponsors for us giving us money so that we can continue, that is a blessing. So thank you everybody."

Reflecting on the past, Froese highlighted stories of mentees who've achieved incredible things, like pursuing careers in healthcare and construction, thanks to the guidance they received. Looking forward, Froese emphasized the importance of continuing to provide mentorship opportunities for kids, stressing that mentoring isn't just nice—it's crucial for a child's development.

As they look ahead, Big Brothers Big Sisters extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who's supported them over the years. From volunteers to sponsors, their contributions have made a real difference in the lives of children and youth in the community.
