The Carman and District Christmas Cheer Board would welcome volunteer help next week.

Program Chair Brenda Bryson says food hampers and gifts will be prepared over two days, at the community hall, starting on Tuesday evening, when they sort food items.

Wednesday sees hampers being packed. There'll be two sessions -- one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Bryson says they average 106 hampers each year.

Delivery is scheduled for next Thursday. Bryson notes they are still accepting donations, including cash.

The Cheer Board serves the communities of Roland, Miami, Haywood, Elm Creek, Sperling, and Carman.
