Central Plains Cancer Services (CPCS) is bringing back their modeling show and they need cancer survivors and warriors that are willing to strut their stuff.

Executive director Sharilyn Knox says this is the first show since the COVID-19 pandemic began and everyone with CPCS is excited to get the catwalk back out in front of Portage and the rest of the Central Plains.

"It has been around for a very long time and is a beautiful evening where we celebrate cancer patients and survivors in our region," explains Knox. "We typically have the show in the spring, but we just decided it's time to bring it back, so we've moved it to the fall this year."

CPCS is a local organization that specializes in helping people diagnosed with cancer in the Central Plains get to and from their treatments. Knox says those that choose to participate in the show will get their hair, makeup, and clothes done for them as CPCS works with local fashion merchants for the event.

"It's great to get it back and the format is changing," notes Knox. "So, all the people itching to get tickets and learn more, I'm afraid they're going to have to wait till the middle of September before we release information as our committee is still working on everything."
