With the long weekend now here, camping season has officially begun.

Miller's Campground owner Paresh Ghedia says they have a new addition this year.

"The new exciting this year is we're putting a new playstructure in," says Ghedia. "We have a big playground, so we're putting in a new addition. It'll be ready for the weekend, so the kids will have a blast."

Ghedia says the dryer than normal spring weather made it easier for them to prepare for May Long.

"Things are dry this year, which helps in some ways," Ghedia says. "This year being dry allows us to do the work. Things are good actually, we're hoping this weekend's going to be really busy and hoping for a good summer, and good season."

Ghedia notes that because Miller's is privately owned, the lift on the alcohol ban over the weekend doesn't affect them. He adds they're a smaller campground for families and children, so they don't really have any issues.

Gheida says there are still smaller campsites available for the weekend.
