Cross your fingers for the kids in MacGregor as they are excited for Winter Activity Days.

MacGregor Elementary principal Bryan Marriott says they try and do something fun every year.

"It's always an outdoor activity. We always have our fingers crossed that the weather will cooperate and it's looking real good this year," says Marriott. "In the past, we've given students an opportunity to go downhill skiing, or we go to the local toboggan hill. We've even taken some kids in the past ice fishing, a small group. This year, we're going to do downhill tobogganing, at our local Valley View Bible Camp."

He says the camp is always great to work with, so the partnership for this year's event was perfect. The 250 students and staff will be broken up into different groups and everyone is pumped to hit the hill Wednesday and Thursday.

"It's always a popular event. We make sure every student is able to participate. Nobody gets left out of that activity," says Marriott. "It's just a super fun day. I think the kids look forward to it, for sure. Lots of great pictures and lots of smiles! And, it's a great day, because the staff get to go down on the tubes with the kids and experience something different with them, rather than being in the classroom."
