The AAA U-18 men's Central Plains Capitals are hitting the ice today as they welcome the Parkland Rangers to town.

The Capitals are coming off a solid showing at their home showcase last weekend going 2-1. They did lose their final game against the Pembina Valley Hawks which is the only team that has beaten them so far this season.

Despite the loss, forward Ryan Botterill still had a hat-trick in the game(scoring all three goals for Central Plains). This gives him the title of the league's leading goal scorer as he has scored 11 in just 7 games.

As for the Rangers, they haven't had the greatest start to the season with only one win in six games. Central Plains, on the other hand, is 5-2 to start the year.

The Caps and Rangers will begin today's game at 4:00 here in Portage at the BDO Centre.
