The Manitoba Moose will play games five and six of their eight-game homestand when they meet the Toronto Marlies tonight and Wednesday at MTS Centre in Winnipeg. Sergei Shirokov, who has appeared in all 39 games this season with the Moose and leads the team with 16 goals and 33 points, has been recalled by the National Hockey Leagues Vancouver Canucks. The 24-year old established a new franchise record with a point in 12 consecutive games when he recorded a goal and an assist in Manitoba's 3-2 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Admirals this past Saturday. Shirokov has also been selected to play in his second consecutive American Hockey League All-Star Classic.
