The annual Neepawa and District Medical Committee Farm and Leisure Lotto is coming up again for the town. Mayor Adrian de Groot says the lottery raises money for the medical clinic in Neepawa and comments on the success of last years lottery.

"Last year they were successful in raising over $100,000 toward our community clinic. It's a good way to help with not only the operating cost, but the possibility of future expansion as well."

De Groot says a lot of work is put in to ensure the success of the lottery.

"The annual lottery is operated by the medical clinic, and the clinic receives the authority through an organization called NADCO (Neepawa and Area Development Corporation). Mary Clark is from the committee and she does a tremendous job promoting, organizing and making the contacts for the lottery."
