As the MJHL gears up for the second half of the 2006-2007 season much focus is being put on the Selkirk Steelers and it's prolific offense.

So far this season the Steelers have scored 221 goals, which is far and away a league best.  To put things in perspective the Winnipeg South Blues are in second with 171, a 50 goal differential.

A big part of that explosive Selkirk Offence is the twin brother combo of Kyle and Brent Howarth who so far have 83 and 70 points respectively, with Kyle leading the league and Brent in 4th.

Selkirk head coach, Keith Cassidy, says as well as the Howarths have played so far individually a lot of that success can be attributed to the rest of the roster.  Other major cogs in the Selkirk scoring machine have been forward Jason Frykas who as 73 points so far and defenceman Adam Sergerie who checks in with 71 points.

The Steelers first game following the Christmas break will be this Friday when they host Winkler.
