The 2020-21 South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League season, which was to start this Friday, has been delayed until November 26. Commissioner Tom Vatrt explained that a number of players and officials work or live in Winnipeg, which moved to level red restrictions in regards to COVID-19 on Monday.

The Central Plains Capitals season is on pause. The Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League announced yesterday that all games involving the Capitals, Pembina Valley Hawks, Eastman Selects and Interlake Lightning are postponed through November 15th. Central Plains was scheduled to play three in a row against Pembina Valley starting tonight in Portage.
