The opposition shadow cabinet has a new look.

Provincial Conservative Leader Hugh McFadyen has moved Portage MLA David Faurschou out of Conservation, and into Consumer and Corporate Affairs.

Faurschou's delighted with the appointment, noting the versatility he asked for has been fulfilled. He has additional responsibilities as critic, including the civil service. He's also a member of the Tory caucus management team, which determines which caucus members serve on committees, as well as picking research staff.

Faurschou notes his duties in Consumer and Corporate Affairs are exactly where he wants to be, and isn't disappointed he's not shadowing portfolios like Health or Finance.

Lakeside MLA Ralph Eichler remains as Agriculture critic. Cliff Cullen of Turtle Mountain shadows Manitoba Hydro and science. Rick Borotsik of Brandon in the Finance critic. Mavis Tallieu of Morris is Labour and Small Business critic. Blaine Pedersen of Carman handles Intergovernmental Affairs. Stu Briese of Ste. Rose is the Family Services critic. Leanne Rowatt of Minnedosa takes on Culture, Aboriginal, and Northern Affairs.
