The Manitoba Junior Hockey League is showing love to a Portage Terrier that's been heavily contributing to the team's success.

Gabriel Laflamme is one of the Week 17's Stars of the Week, alongside Ashton Paul of the Dauphin Kings and Noel Olsonawski of Selkirk Steelers. In three games played this past week, Laflamme has picked up five points, finding the back of the net twice while assisting on three occasions.

While the Terriers have had a few players make an appearance as Stars of the Week, this is Laflamme's first time being honoured. The Terriers have also received some praise from the Canadian Junior Hockey League, being listed as an honourable mention for the top 20 rankings.

The Terriers will be back in action for a weekend doubleheader as they host the Swan Valley Stampeders on Saturday, February 3rd, before taking on the OCN Blizzard on February 4th. Their matchup against the Blizzard will also be Stick it to Cancer Night.
