The Portage Terriers playoff hopes remain alive, despite their second straight loss coming last night. The Dogs fell 7-1 to the Winkler Flyers last night, but the Selkirk Steelers also lost, keeping the postseason door open for the Terriers.

Matt Wisener opened the scoring in this contest as he picked up his ninth goal of the season. Unfortunately for Portage, from that point on they gave up seven unanswered goals, four of them coming on the power-play.

Portage will now need five points in their final three games to sneak into the postseason, just one more regulation loss will eliminate them from contention.

The Dogs will be fighting for their playoff lives when they hit the road to Winnipeg on Tuesday for a meeting with the Blues.
