Many Portagers braved the cold last night to enjoy the return of the Rotary Santa Parade of Lights.

Locals bundled up to line up all the way down Saskatchewan Avenue from 17th Street NW to 9th Street NE to see all the different floats from businesses and local initiatives.

This was the first time since 2019 that a holiday parade has been held in Portage.

PortageOnline brought a team of representatives to join in on the fun as Shelby Proznick handed out candy canes and Noah Fuchs put on his DJ hat.

While it was nearing -30 with the wind chill at times last night, that didn't stop the smiles coming from all across the city.
