Peguis First Nation's in the midst of its annual Treaty Days, which continues until next Sunday.

Coordinator Linda Sinclair tells us the idea is to gather all their people for a week of celebrations.

"It's our culture and heritage," she points out. "We get about 5000 to 10,000 people at our event during the whole week. The majority of people camp at the Treaty Grounds, and it's a whole week of celebration."

Sinclair says they have a variety of activities each day.

"Monday we have Elders' day," she says. "Every day there's stuff for youth events. We have our big monster Bingo on Friday. Our pow wow days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Every day there's something going on."
