Another week, another look at what the happ is for it. Good news, there's some fun things to partake in the next several days, including the inaugural Dirt Dash!

- Fall is upon us and if you've been keeping busy with cleaning up the leaves and other junk, oh the fun, the Fall Yards Waste Collection Program is here to help you get rid of it. From now and for the next six collection cycles you can leave it on the curb to be picked up and discarded properly. 

- Let's get physical, physical.. Like athletic physical, with the PRRA Fitness Day. Tuesday between 8:30 am and 8:30 pm you get 20% off memberships and 25% off family memberships. Details about their programs can be found by going to the PCU Centre that day.

- Things are about to get chili, with the Chili Challenge. Ah, see what I did there? ;) Friday the 14th annual chili challenge takes place at the Herman Prior Centre from 11am till 1pm. Taste delicious chili and judge which one is the best for only $8. Money raised goes to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Central Region.

- 125 years ago the community of Oakville was founded and this Saturday they celebrate with a whole days worth of activities.

- Get muddy Saturday with the first ever Portage the Prairies Dirt Dash. The 5K dash takes place at Republic Park with heats beginning to head out after 10am. If you're signed up see for yourself when your heat is. Same-day race registration is available for heats in the afternoon if you still wanted to participate. You're also more than welcome to come out and cheer everyone on, including Team Mix in the celebrity heat versus City Council which happens at noon. 

- Another Pitbulls football Sunday is coming up this week. Bantams at 10am, Atoms at 12:30om and Crunchers at 3pm all at Republic Park.
