The South-Interlake chapter of the Children's Wish Foundation has set a 50 thousand dollar fundraising goal.

The annual Family Fun Day event is being held today at the Peltier farm in Woodlands, with the intention of granting wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Chairman Gary Peltier isn't doubtful of reaching the goal -- he's being backed by community donations, both of merchandise and gift certificates.

Peltier expects the event will attract between eight hundred and a thousand people.  But he says he'll need more than just individual support to break 50 thousand dollars, explaining he has very few corporate supporters.
