The Central Plains Female Capitals scored a 10-2 victory in last night's MFMHL game against the Interlake Lightning.

Despite the win Coach Ferdi Nelissen says it wasn't one of their best games.

"We brought it up after the game, we thought two or three of our games against the top teams where we deserved to win but didn't win were better [because] we played at a higher level."

He notes they're trying to get the girls to work more as a team opposed to concentrating on individual efforts.

"We want them to work as a team and we started to get away from that and that can lead to bad habits. That showed up especially in the second period when we just weren't making play. But all in all they battled, we scored some goals and we needed that badly."

The girls return to the ice next Friday when they face the Norman Wild.
