The MacGregor Fire Department has acquired a brand new fire truck.

Chris Leckie is the Fire Chief, and explains it was time, and they're thrilled with the latest addition. Leckie notes this has been in the works for a few years, adding they placed the order last year. He explains it took some time to figure out what truck would best suit the needs of the department. Leckie stresses it's an added morale boost for the department.

"All the guys seem impressed," says Leckie. "It's always good to have high morale at the department. It's a great piece of equipment that will serve us well for many years to come. It's just a great addition to the municipality for our fire fighting needs."

Leckie outlines the new vehicle features more seating, which will allow the department to respond to calls much better. He notes the truck is also suited for our climate, which will be great for them.
