The Portage Community Revitalization Corporation held its annual Breakfast On Ice yesterday the brightness of a great sunny day at Stride Place on the island in Portage. Stefanie McKim, Community engagement coordinator, says it wasn't as big of a crowd as it was last year.

"Turnout has been a little slow," says McKim. "It's one of those things where you wonder if it's almost too busy. We did have to change our location this year. Last year we were right on the lake. And with the car racing we decided to pull back and be closer to Stride Place."

She adds the pancake and pork breakfasts are free, and any donations received at the effort go to their partner Portage Plains United Way.
