Selkirk RCMP has arrested and charged a 30-year-old man with multiple offences following a stabbing earlier this month. 

On April 21, around 9:25 p.m., Selkirk RCMP said that they received a report of a stabbing and that the male was currently at the hospital. The investigation determined that the man was with two other adults when he got into an altercation and was stabbed.

The victim, a 55-year-old man, remains in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On April 28, Selkirk RCMP arrested Darien Williams, 30, of Winnipeg. He has been charged with a number of offences including: 

  • Aggravated Assault 
  • Assault 
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon 
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose 
  • Fail to Comply x4 

He was remanded into custody.
