Central Plains Cancer Care Services celebrates 10 years and remains a pillar of the community with programs such as Kids Can Cope and the Hearts of Hope. This year, Kids Can Cope is partnering with Touch of Equine to offer a 6-week learning program for children affected by cancer. CPCS also offers assistance to those who need to travel for treatments at an affordable cost. In 2016, over 1000 rides were given to and from cancer treatments by over 160 volunteers. Volunteers are also integral in their many fundraising events throughout the fundraising season, including the Spirit of Spring Fashion Show and the Central Plains Challenge Walk and Run.This year, CPCS' fundraising goal is $50,000 for the Walk on Saturday.
