Annette Marie Schulz passed away on January 16, 2024 at the Portage and District General Hospital at the age of 84 years. Annette was formerly of Elm Creek and Winnipeg.

We are sad to announce the passing of Aunt Annette. We are so grateful that she made the move from Winnipeg to Portage so we could spend more time together. We could pop in any time, have supper together or watch our favourite shows. Annette enjoyed having family over for visits. For years now, she helped place the chicks in Dwayne and Pam’s barn. Aunt Annette only missed the last chick placement at the end of December. She often would bring Amish Friendship bread she had made and cheese slices for a snack after.

Aunt Annette came to the farm for several family celebrations and Christmas supper this year. Another highlight in December was seeing her great nephew Tristen play Joseph in his Church’s Christmas concert.

Annette missed her long time friends from Fort Garry Mennonite Brethren Church in Winnipeg but she made many new friends at Community Fellowship Church in Newton. Aunt Annette became close to those in her Bible study and spoke of them often.

If anyone would like to share pictures or stories about Aunt Annette we would appreciate it.

Left to remember Annette are her brothers John (Helen) and Jake (Irene); sister-in-law Margaret; nephews and nieces Dwayne (Pam), Katherine (Otto), Anna (Tim), David (Tina) and Ruth (Sean); great nephews Jesse, Kole and her special little buddy Tristen; as well as extended family and friends.

Annette was predeceased by her parents John and Anna, her sister Leona and brother Hubert.

Funeral Service is this Friday, January 26th, at 10:30am at the Community Fellowship Church in Newton with viewing prior to the service between 9:30 and 10:30.

Burial will take place at Bloomfield Rosewell Cemetery, in Kronsgart, MB
