The U18 AAA female Central Plains Capitals' backs are against the wall as their season will be on the line in Game 3. The Caps were defeated 5-0 on home ice tonight by the Westman Wildcats, who now hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Central Plains' captain Phoenix Freis says they played much better in Game 1 (3-2 loss in double overtime) and notes they'll need to bring their A-game once again on Sunday.

"We're going to have to play how we did in the first game. We have to bring everything. This could be our last game in the whole season," Freis explains. "So, we have to come out playing hard for everybody in the stands and for all of our teammates."

Knowing that this could be the last game of the year, Freis says she will be leaving it all on the ice.

"This could be my last AAA experience. For these other girls, it's going to be the end of their season. They want to win a playoff game and take these playoffs seriously."

Freis adds the goal now is to play at least one more game at the BDO Centre this season. For that to happen, the Capitals will need to come out victorious in Game 3, which goes down on Sunday in Brandon.
