The Central Plains Capitals were in action tonight in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League. Their comeback fell short against the top-ranked Winnipeg Avros, the final score was 4-3 in overtime. Caps forward Amy Klippenstein spoke about what it feels like to have such a strong game against the best team in the league.

"It feels good it just shows that this year anybody can beat anybody and that going into the playoffs we have a chance."

The Capitals battled back from being down 3-1 to tie the game and send it into overtime. The Winnipeg Avros are the top team in the league and Central Plains both outshot and out-chanced them heavily.

The Caps final game of the regular season is tomorrow when they face the interlake lightning on the road. puck drop is 4:30 pm.
