Your opportunity to be seated at one of the biggest tables in Portage la Prairie is right around the corner.

Central Plains Cancer Services (CPCS) is bringing back their Table for 600 dinner, a night filled with food, games, and conversation to raise money for the programs they provide. The event will take place on June 7. Executive Director Sharilyn Knox says due to the anticipation regarding the dinner, they've had to resort to a raffle system.

"All you have to do is register your email for a table. Then, on March 18, we do a draw of all the emails to offer them a chance to purchase a table for the event."

Knox adds that there are eight seats per table, meaning all eight people can submit each person's email address to increase their odds of getting a call. It's completely free to enter the draw, with payment only necessary if you're selected and you purchase a table for the field of hope.

"We call it the field of hope because it's on a ball diamond (in the Rotary Republic of Manitobah Park)," notes Knox. "The theme is white, so everyone wears white to the event."

On top of curating a special outfit, there will be prizes for the best-decorated tables.

You have until March 15 to register your email for a chance to reserve your portion for the Table for 600. You can register by sending an email to tablefor600@gmail.com
