Portage la Prairie RCMP, EMS, and firefighters were called out this morning, after a report of a two-vehicle mishap on Highway 240, south of the city, near Southport.
The vehicles went into the ditch, and two people were injured. They were transported to hospital. The nature of their injuries isn't known.
The police remain on the scene, investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, last night around 6 o'clock, crews were called out to a vehicle fire on the west ramp of the Portage bypass.
When they arrived, the passenger compartment was engulfed in flames. The blaze was quickly extinguished.
No one was hurt.
That incident's being investigated as well.
