As we all know, COVID-19 and social distancing have forced a lot of business to move online, as more and more people are shopping online at home rather than spending their evenings and weekends shopping in stores.

While the business world was already moving in the online direction before, Dunn Ram Trucks’ General Manager, Tyler Dunn, says that the pandemic has only accelerated that move.

As a result, Dunn Ram has been offering their entire sales process online for the last three months, in addition to staying open in store. “You can actually complete your entire transaction online on our website now,” said Dunn, “So, if you’re one of those people who’s up in the middle of the night, looking around for what vehicle you’re going to buy, you can play around on the website and see what your payments are going to be.”

From calculating your own vehicle payments, finding information about your extended warranty and insurance, calculating your trade-in value, to even leaving a deposit, almost everything you used to do in the store, you can now do online, too. Just look for the “build a deal” button, and it’ll calculate everything for you.

Aside from vehicle sales, Dunn Ram’s service and repairs have also adapted to the world of social distancing. If you’re uncomfortable coming into the store, they offer pick-up and delivery: “We can pick your vehicle up from home or from your workplace, get your repairs done, and drop it back off to you.” With the pick-up and drop-off service, Dunn Ram still offers all of their regular services, including mechanical service, and collision and glass repair.

While Tyler Dunn and the team at Dunn Ram have been super thrilled with the success of their new online platform, they’ve also been working hard to keep up with their vehicle sales.

Not unlike many other dealerships, Dunn is surprised at how quickly vehicles have been moving off the lot: “We’re actually finding that we’re selling vehicles quicker than we’re able to replace them.” With manufacturers offering so many incentives, the factories are having a hard time meeting demand.

“But I guess it’s kind of a bittersweet thing,” he notes. “While it’s awesome that we’re selling vehicles, it is definitely challenging when we’re selling vehicles faster than we can bring them in.” Despite the challenge, though, the Dunn Ram team is working hard to adapt, not only to the change in business practices for both sales and service, but also in finding ways to do things remotely.

Above all, the Dunn Ram team hopes that whatever changes have been made, and whatever changes are to come, that they continue to make it easier for customers to either find their new vehicles, or get their vehicles serviced.

“We’re very thankful for our team,” says Dunn, of the 24 incredible people that Dunn Ram has on staff. “Without everyone’s help, the changes we’ve made wouldn’t have come together so smoothly.”

If you, too, have been looking for a new vehicle, or an easier, safer way to get your vehicle serviced, check out Dunn Ram’s website, or give them a call. They’re more than happy to help!
