Portage la Prairie RCMP have made public the details regarding the railway incident that occurred on Wednesday, at 3rd Street NE.
At about 8:05 p.m., officers from Portage la Prairie RCMP, along with CP Police, EMS, and the Fire Department, responded to the report of a pedestrian having been struck by a westbound train at the crossing located on 3rd Street NE.
Officers attended and located a 30-year-old woman, from Portage la Prairie, who was pronounced deceased on scene.
Portage la Prairie RCMP, along with CP Police, continue to investigate.
