Environment Canada has issued two weather alerts for this morning: A Fog Advisory that was issued first, and then a Freezing Rain Warning and they will both affect driving this morning.

They're reporting that freezing rain is occurring in parts of southern Manitoba and it will move eastward out of the region later.

Near zero visibility in fog was also noted to occur over some areas. This will lift by late morning or early afternoon. Environment Canada explains visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. You can expect travel to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. When this happens, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

Motorists are asked to continue to monitor the alerts and forecasts they issue.
