If you're hitting the road this holiday weekend you can expect to pay more at the pumps. Portage Co-op General Manager Kevin Dales says they've had to raise the price of gas to 112.9 per litre, but he notes the price will fall a little bit over the weekend as a result of the GST reduction from 7% to 6% percent.
Dales attributes the high price of fuel to supply and demand, he doesn't expect to see a decrease in sales as a result of high gas prices.
