Last night in Northern League baseball, after a split with Calgary on Wednesday evening, the Goldeyes had an offensive explosion and routed the Vipers, 14-2.

The Fish had 16 hits with homeruns by Keith Maxwell and Sean Walsh while pitcher, Josh Beshears, pushed his perfect record to 5-0 with the victory.

Calgary's bullpen coach, 41-year-old Jay Bobel suffered the loss on the mound in his Northern League debut.

Following the game Goldeyes Coach, Steve Maddock, said that it was refreshing to see Winnipeg do so well with the bats after a lack of hitting on Wednesday. He added his players had some tremendous at bats last night as they did lot of outstanding work hitting to the opposite field early in the game.

Winnipeg is back at it tonight when they travel to Fargo to take on the Redhawks in game one of a three game set.
