After a day of rest and golf, Winnipeg returns to the diamond tonight when they open a three game home series with Fargo-Moorhead in Northern League baseball.

The Fish have played 22 games in 23 days, and whether it be fatigue or injury, have sputtered as of late.

Winnipeg Coach, Steve Maddock, says a break from the game can work wonders for both body and mind, allowing time to refresh the system. He points out that a short layoff from baseball has worked once already for the Goldeyes earlier this season. The Fish were on a long stretch in Calgary and the final game of their series with the Vipers was rained out, allowing the tired club some downtime. The rest was just what they needed as the Fish, went on to win their next 6 of 8 games.

Winnipeg is currently sporting a record of 1-2 in the second half of the season. Game time tonight with the RedHawks is 7:00 o'clock.
