It was the final Scotties for Manitoba's Jennifer Jones and while it was almost a fairy tale ending, it was not to be. In the end, Ontario's Rachel Homan went through the event undefeated including a 5-4 win in the final. Homan led for most of the game and while Jones did tie it up with two in the ninth, Homan used the hammer and her last shot of the game to secure a point and the victory.

18 teams started out looking for the championship and when it was cut down to the top 6 for the championship round, all 4 Manitoba teams were still alive. Jones had to beat fellow Manitoba Kate Cameron to make it to the final. Cameron had already eliminated Kerri Einarson, the 4 time defending champion on Friday night.
