The Portage Islanders will be on the road tonight, they're taking on the Notre Dame Hawks in South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League action. The two squads have met once already this season with Portage coming away with a 6-2 victory.

So far this season, the Isles have been firing on all cylinders with a record of 7-0-0-1, their lone blemish coming as a shootout loss to Morden. The Hawks, on the other hand, have struggled this season, they currently sit second-last in the standings. Islanders player/Gm Jeremy Brooks says that doesn't mean they can look past the Hawks.

"Notre Dame is a hard-working team," says Brooks. "We're not really sure what their lineup is going to look like against us. They have 20 guys that can bring it every game. They're going to be looking for redemption after our last game against them so we're definitely going to have to come prepared to play."

Puck drop is set for 8:30 pm.
